In addition to history Bill was a subscriber to the Madison Symphony Orchestra for several years enjoying their productions along with trips to the Metropolitan Opera House in New York City and productions in Chicago. Bill served the community by being a part of local Rescue Squads primarily in Frostburg but also in LaVale & Georges Creek for more than 30 years, along with teaching through the American Red Cross.
